There was a Kane at MD6 Head Quarters

At the Time of the Halifax Explosion

My father, George C. Kane, during the Second World War was with the Canadian security forces. He was behind enemy forces a number of times. He was also part of a team that captured a Spy in Nova Scotia before he went overseas.

When I was on the Ashburn golf course one time I asked him: "What did you do in the war Dad?" He responded by saying, as he walked off to his next shot that; "I was in the security forces in WW II and in WW I the Halifax Explosion was not an accident."

I worked with the National Museums of Canada, developing and obtaining information (from the National Archives of Canada) for their "Discovery Train Museum".

During that research time, I came across files that indicated what he had told me could be true. Since then, I have obtained numerous files that indicate espionage activities all across Canada, and through United States.
